Madelaine Lawrence, RN, PhD

Dr. Lawrence is a writer, nursing researcher, educator, professional life coach, consulting hypnotist and Primary Nurse Planner for the RnCeus.com website.
She has taught research and courses on death and dying to graduate and undergraduate students for over 20 years and has been Director of Nursing Education and Research for a large urban hospital in Connecticut. Her research and writings include an investigation of the experiences of unconscious patients, a prospective study of near-death experiences, and a study of the incidence of deathbed communications. She has been interviewed for several lay publications and appeared on a number of television shows including ABC's Turning Point with Diane Sawyer.
Dr. Lawrence grew up in Connecticut where she and her children spent wonderful summers at a beach community near Mystic, CT.
Every morning at 6:00 a.m., she is at her computer creating murder and mayhem (on paper only) in NC.
Occasionally Dr. Lawrence writes murder mysteries under the pen name of Allison Jones. Many people have asked why she uses a pen name. She replies honestly, "in case no one likes the book, I didn't want to be identified as the author." Now that she has received many favorable reviews, she admits to writing A Hypnotic Suggestion.
